About Adhesives (medical grade used in hair replacement industry)
The glue adhesives used to secure a custom wig are categorized as either a daily wear adhesive or an extended wear adhesive. If you plan to take off your wig daily or frequently, purchase a daily wear adhesive. If you do NOT want to take off your wig daily, purchase an extended wear adhesive. When selecting your adhesive pay special attention to the materials they are made of; adhesives can be acrylic based, silicone based or water based. Make a selection based on your preference and skin condition. For Example: Do not choose a silicone based adhesive if you are allergic to silicone. *Users report: acrylic based adhesive (Ultra Hold) has the best hold. Need Assistance selecting an adhesive?
